Drivetech 4x4 Accessories Range

Be prepared with Drivetech 4x4 Accessories

Drivetech 4x4 Accessories Product Manager, Nick Lockett, says that the Accessories range includes everything you’ll need to get out of those tight off road situations – without risk to life, limb or vehicles.

“Most 4WD enthusiasts like to give anything a go and they do find themselves in a tight spot from time to time. It could be getting bogged in sand, getting stuck in mud or clay, or struggling to get back up a slippery incline after wet weather.” Having Drivetech 4x4 Accessories on board gives you the peace of mind to enjoy your vehicle, safe in the knowledge that you’re prepared to deal with challenges on the spot.”

“Of course the ideal situation is that you won’t need to use recovery equipment at all, but as we know, things don’t always go 100 per cent to plan when you take your 4WD off road.”

Nick says the new Drivetech 4x4 Accessories range was developed off the back of strong customer demand.

“Customers and stockists have been asking us to round out the Drivetech 4x4 range with 4WD recovery equipment. There is a lot of demand out there for the unique Drivetech 4x4 combination of great quality and reasonable prices.”

Safety is paramount

All Drivetech 4x4 Accessories have been independently tested within Australia.

“Four wheel driving can be dangerous. Getting out of a bog involves a lot of force, for example, so it’s important that your recovery equipment is high quality and does the job properly and safely ensuring no one gets hurt.”

“The Drivetech 4x4 Accessories range is really strong, really good gear. And it’s affordable. You can’t ask for much more than that,” says Nick.

June 01, 2014 New clutch kits round out trusted range from Drivetech 4x4

New clutch kits round out trusted range from Drivetech 4x4

Drivetech 4x4 – Australia’s most trusted range of drivetrain components for 4WDs and light commercial vehicles – has released a new range of high quality clutch kits. The addition of clutch kits makes the Drivetech 4x4 range of under bonnet and under vehicle parts and repair kits one of the largest in the country.

Clutch kits make Drivetech 4x4 a convenient ‘one-stop-shop’

“Launched as a result of feedback from customers, the new clutch kits complete our product offering and effectively make Drivetech 4x4 a ‘one-stop-shop’ for specialist 4WD repairers and workshops who perform their own gearbox and clutch repairs,” says Motospecs Category Manager, Ben Lavis. “Many Drivetech 4x4 customers are specialist gearbox rebuilders and generally, if you’re taking the gearbox out for a rebuild, you tend to replace the clutch as well.”

“Now, workshops can buy any drivetrain-related component, including clutch kits, from Drivetech 4x4. As well as the convenience factor, this has real potential to save workshops time and money, including the cost of additional freight incurred when ordering from more than one supplier.” Workshops purchasing a number of components from Drivetech 4x4 also have the added security of knowing the parts are all matched to one another. “It makes the whole buying process more efficient,” explains Ben.

Comprehensive range

Packed with all the necessary components, Drivetech 4x4’s new clutch kits come in four versions:Drivetech 4x4 Clutch Kit

  • Standard Clutch & Pressure Plate kits
  • Heavy Duty Clutch & Pressure Plate kits
  • Dual Mass Flywheel & Clutch kits
  • Single Mass Flywheel & Clutch Conversion kits.

It’s a comprehensive range that covers applications for popular 4WD makes including Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi as well as others such as Ford and Mazda.

The superior quality you’d expect from Drivetech 4x4

The Drivetech 4x4 brand is synonymous with quality, reliability and cost effectiveness and the new clutch kit range is no exception. “The kit components are sourced from highly regarded manufacturers worldwide and come with a 1 year/20,000 kms warranty. Many of the components in the kits come direct from OEM manufacturers, so workshops can be confident in the quality when they choose a Drivetech 4x4 clutch kit.”

“When you put a new clutch in and something goes wrong, it’s an expensive fix. With our clutch kits, workshops can be absolutely confident their customers will drive away with a top quality new clutch in their transmission.”

Give your customers options with Drivetech 4x4 clutch kits

The range gives workshops and customers added flexibility when it comes to clutch repairs. “With this range, we’re aiming to help repairers provide customers with alternatives. The clutch can be an expensive repair and not everyone wants to spend a fortune.”

“For example with our range, you can offer a customer whose dual mass flywheel clutch has failed, the option of a direct replacement using a Drivetech 4x4 Dual Mass Flywheel & Clutch kit. You can also give them the option of a single mass flywheel clutch conversion instead, using the Drivetech 4x4 Single Mass Flywheel & Clutch Conversion kit, which is going to be more affordable in the long run.”

More components included as standard

Drivetech 4x4 clutch repair kits feature often contain more components than competitor kits and include as standard many components that are missing from competitor clutch kits.

“One example is the clutch aligning tool that comes standard in all Drivetech 4x4 clutch kits. With many competitor kits this would be an additional purchase,” says Ben. Spigot bearings/bushes are another example. These come standard in Drivetech 4x4 clutch kits. These components are important for correct fitment and longevity of the repair, however they are not included in many competitor clutch kits.

Positive feedback, expanding range

Feedback on the new range of Drivetech 4x4 clutch kits has been very positive. “Everyone who’s bought one has been very happy. The range is continually growing – Australia-wide we’ve had workshops calling and asking for part numbers, so we’re constantly adding to the range to meet our customers’ requirements.”

May 07, 2013 Drivetech 4x4 meets the market with new Steering and Suspension catalogue

It’s no secret 4WD vehicles are becoming more and more popular in Australia. To help workshops and mechanics keep up with the growing demand for quality parts across the 4WD marketplace, Drivetech 4x4 is pleased to announce its new and updated Steering and Suspension catalogue – a vital resource for mechanics and repairers of Australia’s most popular 4WD vehicles.

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural edition, Drivetech 4x4’s latest Steering and Suspension catalogue is easy to read and features a broader range of parts, reflecting Drivetech 4x4’s rapidly expanding range.

Top quality, wide range

The new Drivetech 4x4 Steering and Suspension catalogue includes a wide range of components for Australia’s most popular 4WD makes and models including:

  • Steering: tie rod ends, seal kits, ball joints, relay rods, power steering pumps, overhaul kits, pitman arms and more.
  • Suspension: shock absorbers, coil and leaf springs, steering dampers, suspension bushes, sway bar links, torsion bars, u-bolts and more.

The range has been designed to suit the majority of the Australian 4WD car park including Toyota Landcruiser, Toyota Hilux and Nissan Patrol.

Absolute quality

All steering and suspension parts continue Drivetech 4x4’s tradition of supplying the market with top quality 4WD parts and components at very reasonable prices.

“All our steering components are OEM standard or better,” says Motospecs Category Manager, Ben Lavis. “Steering is safety-critical so it’s important not to muck around with inferior parts or you’re risking people’s lives. At Drivetech 4x4 we achieve competitively priced, OE style parts without compromising on safety.”

“In terms of suspension, all Drivetech 4x4 parts are high quality, with many of them made to even higher specifications than OEM parts.”

“With our suspension parts, we want to ensure vehicles ride and perform better than standard, both on and off the road, and our top quality range achieves this.”

Also features suspension lift kits

The new catalogue also includes a wide range of Drivetech 4x4’s popular suspension lift kits.

“Our suspension lift kits include everything you need to successfully raise your 4WD by 40 to 50 millimetres, so they’re very convenient,” explains Ben.

“Suspension lift kits are also very cost effective. Plus, you won’t forget anything when you order a kit, so they are time saving as well by removing the need to source special or missing parts before doing the job.”

There is a handy suspension specifications chart at the back of the catalogue, which provides useful information on sizing, dimensions and load ratings.

Components for the latest 4WDs

Drivetech 4x4’s range of suspension and steering parts is comprehensive and includes parts for the newest 4WD vehicles on Australian roads.

“We try to bring products out as quickly as possible to suit the latest 4WD vehicles. For example, the new catalogue features more parts for the new Ford Ranger and the all new Holden Colorado, despite these vehicles only hitting Australian roads relatively recently.”

Drivetech 4x4 brake and clutch range – top quality, affordable prices

Drivetech 4x4 Brake & Clutch CatalogueThe recently released Drivetech 4x4 Brake and Clutch catalogue is a vital resource for mechanics and repairers ofAustralia’s most popular 4WD vehicles.

Easy to read and very comprehensive, the Drivetech 4x4 Brake and Clutch catalogue includes Drivetech 4x4’s ever-expanding range of hydraulics, hoses, callipers, disc rotors, cables, repair and overhaul kits. The range has been designed to suit Australia’s most common working 4WD vehicles including Toyota Landcruiser, Toyota Hilux and Nissan Patrol.

Affordable OEM equivalent parts

What makes the Drivetech 4x4 Brake and Clutch catalogue a must-have for 4x4 workshops around the country? Motospecs Category Manager, Ben Lavis, says a key point of difference with the Drivetech 4x4 range is that it only includes OEM equivalent parts for niche vehicles – yet at affordable prices.

“We do not carry and are not interested in low quality products, particularly in this product group as brakes are safety critical,” says Ben.

“Because of our excellent, long-standing relationships with manufacturers and suppliers, we are able to provide OEM equivalent parts at excellent prices. This differentiates the Drivetech 4x4 range from others on the market.”

The Drivetech 4x4 Brake and Clutch catalogue includes every part needed for successful brake and clutch replacement and repair, and being OEM equivalent, fitment is guaranteed to be simple and hassle-free.

“We offer bolt-on replacement parts. You won’t have any issues with fitment that you might get from lower grade parts. In most cases, low-end parts are reverse engineered, so may be a millimetre out here and there, which creates fitment and safety issues because of the need to make modifications just to get the part to fit properly,” explains Ben.

“High quality brake and clutch parts are crucial to 4x4 vehicles. As they are heavier and often work in tough environments, the brakes work a lot harder than in a standard car. Drivetech 4x4 parts provide the reassurance and peace of mind that customers are looking for when it comes to 4x4 safety.”

January 08, 2013 New Drivetech 4x4 Enduro Suspension Lift Kits for 4WD owners and enthusiasts

Motospecs is pleased to announce the recent addition of Drivetech 4x4 Enduro Suspension Lift Kits to its comprehensive range of suspension-related products.

Motospecs Product Manager, Steering and Suspension, Adam Pace, says the new Drivetech 4x4 Suspension Lift Kits conveniently include “everything in the one box that you need to successfully raise a 4WD.”Designed specifically to meet the needs of the 4WD enthusiast, the new range of Suspension Lift Kits makes raising a vehicle a simple, fast and cost effective process – perfect for workshop owners who want to provide a quality, efficient service for their 4WD customers.

“These new kits make it so easy for workshops because they contain everything you need to do the job, removing the hassle of having to order in individual parts. The biggest thing with suspension is that there can be a lot of components required to raise a 4WD. If there’s just one part missing you can’t do the job which means you, and your customer, need to wait till that part comes in. Having it all in the one box makes the ordering process simple. You only require one part number instead of up to 10 separate parts!”

There are four types of Suspension Lift Kits available:

  • Coil spring front and rear
  • Coil spring front and leaf spring rear
  • Torsion bar front and leaf spring rear
  • Leaf spring front and leaf spring rear

The kits are available in heavy duty and extra heavy duty. This allows 4WD owners to choose the right kit for their vehicle requirements. The heavy duty kit is suitable for the majority of 4WD owners and the constant load kit is tailored to those who carry constant heavy loads on their 4WD such as a drawer system, dual wheel carriers, winch, steel bullbar etc. All kits offer a 35-50mm lift.

The range includes kits to suit most popular 4WD’s on the road today.

The kits feature high quality components including Australian made coil springs and polyurethane bushes.

As well as springs and bushes, they also come with shock absorbers, pins and greasable shackles. The kits will achieve the lift required while also delivering a comfortable ride.

Adam says Drivetech 4x4’s expertise provides a major advantage to workshops who choose to use the new Suspension Lift Kits.

“Here at Drivetech 4x4, we have years of experience in 4WD suspension, and we’ve taken that knowledge and put it in a box. We’ve done the research so mechanics don’t have to. We still sell all these parts individually, but now that they’re all in the one box it’s so much easier.”

February 15, 2012 Win a Drivetech 4X4 Toyota HiLux

Win this HiLux! Is that clear enough for you? Yep, thanks to component supplier Drivetech 4X4, you have the chance to win this beaut Toyota HiLux dual cab.

The idea behind the competition is, of course, to promote the Drivetech 4X4 brand – the newly launched off-road arm of the well renowned Motospecs, a big player in the Australian automotive service parts and components industry. The Drivetech 4X4 range covers many standard replacement parts associated with brakes, steering and driveline (which is what you’ll see used over the next few issues of 4X4 Australia as this HiLux is refreshed) with most of the popular makes and models of 4X4s covered. This is a top-spec 2007 model SR5 punted along by Toyota’s dependable and durable 3.0-litre turbocharged D-4D four-cylinder diesel and five-speed manual transmission. Thanks to its previous owner, this rig is already carrying some equipment for adventure: Up front there’s an ARB winch-compatible bullbar and Safari snorkel and underneath is a full set of Speedy alloys hooped with BF Goodrich tyres. The nose has been lifted with a set of heavy duty coils – an almost essential HiLux mod for ground clearance and better performance off-road – while out back there’s a durable poly tray liner and a tow bar ready for a camper trailer, fishing boat, dirt bikes, or whatever you tow. Tinted windows are the finishing touch for a staunch, stout vehicle that is ready and waiting to be loaded with all your gear and taken anywhere for adventure!

But the real appeal of this deal is what’s going to happen next: Over the next few issues of 4X4, this Toyota’s driveline will be popped apart, overhauled and pieced together again. Showing 130,000km, this one owner highway hauler HiLux hardly needs it, but with an extensive list of Drivetech 4X4 components – and a few expert tips thanks to the techs at All Four x 4 Service Centre in Newcastle, NSW, who are spinning the spanners. This HiLux will end up better than when it rolled off the production line!

On the to-do list are the brakes, the steering, front axles/CVs and wheel bearings, plus the gearbox, transfer case and front and rear diffs. The final pieces of kit for nimble and stable on- and off-road handling will be four of Drivetech 4X4’s new Enduro shocks. Drivetech is particularly proud of its range of shock absorbers, designed as an upgrade on standard/original equipment components (for use with original springs or lifts up to 50mm) to offer sharper handling and greater durability at an affordable price. At present, the Enduro range covers most popular 4X4s – with the catalogue always being revised and expanded.

After it has been mechanically remastered, the HiLux will be proudly shown-off at Drivetech 4X4 stockists Australia-wide. After that, it’s up for grabs – and you could be its new owner! Make sure you find out more in the next issue of 4X4 Australia or at http://www.drivetech4x4.com.au.

May 02, 2011 Motospecs expands its popular Drivetech 4 x 4 range

The Drivetech 4 x 4 range from Motospecs enjoys a deserved reputation for quality and value. Featuring more than 5000 replacement parts, the new range caters to many makes and models of 4WD, AWD and SUV on Australian roads. Offering Original Equipment style parts at an affordable price point, it’s no wonder Drivetech 4 x 4 is the fastest growing 4WD parts brand in the country.

In order to satisfy and meet ongoing demand, Motospecs is currently expanding its Drivetech 4 x 4 range. Two exciting new products scheduled to hit automotive aftermarket shelves in May 2011 are Drivetech 4 x 4 CV Driveshaft Assemblies and Drivetech 4 x 4 Enduro Shock Absorbers.

According to Motospecs Category Manager, Ben Lavis, the new Drivetech 4 x 4 products will deliver significant advantages to workshop owners, mechanics and their customers.

image

New Drivetech 4 x 4 CV Driveshaft Assemblies take the hassle and expense out of replacing the driveshaft. Instead of using reconditioned driveshafts, with the new Drivetech 4 x 4 Driveshaft Assemblies it is more cost effective to provide customers with a brand new driveshaft.

"The driveshaft tends to be a weak point within 4WD drivelines. It features a lot of high speed moving parts, it twists at extreme angles and can generate a lot of heat. The other factor is the boot the driveshaft sits in. This can be easily damaged during off-road driving, and once dust or water enters the driveshaft, the part is really compromised," says Ben.

"As workshop owners are aware, replacing the driveshaft used to be a very fiddly, labour-intensive job. New Drivetech 4 x 4 CV Driveshaft Assemblies allow installers to save money on labour costs by installing a complete shaft that includes both inner and outer CV joints. This enables speedier repairs that get customers back on the road and ensure greater efficiency for workshops."

As well as being time saving and cost effective, the new Drivetech 4 x 4 Driveshaft Assemblies offer outstanding quality and come with a very attractive three-year 60,000km warranty.

“This product means the best option for both workshops and their customers is to provide a quality, good value new driveshaft. It’s a win-win situation as it saves everyone money while providing an outstanding result on the vehicle.”

Given how frequently 4WD, SUV and AWD drivers experience driveshaft problems, the new Drivetech 4 x 4 Driveshaft Assemblies are sure to receive a warm welcome.

"For individual drivers, as well as owners of industry or business vehicles, anyone behind the wheel of a 4WD or AWD knows how expensive and time-consuming a driveshaft repair can be. With new Drivetech 4 x 4 Driveshaft Assemblies both the cost and the time are significantly minimised, and the end result is A1."

image

In addition, the new Drivetech 4 x 4 Enduro Shock Absorbers are highly anticipated. According to Ben, there are countless situations where this great-looking new product will be beneficial.

"This new product caters to most makes and models of 4WDs, AWDs and SUVs. Designed in Australia to suit Australian conditions, the new Drivetech 4 x 4 Enduro Shock Absorbers enable vehicle owners to upgrade their shocks from Original Equipment without breaking the bank."

The new, extensive range of Drivetech 4 x 4 Enduro Shock Absorbers are nitrogen charged and feature rubber bushes for long life and comfort. Increased bore size means a better ride and reduced fade, while the twin tube construction guarantees durability. Drivetech 4 x 4 Enduro Shock Absorbers come with the advantage of a two-year 60,000km warranty.

"The Drivetech 4 x 4 Enduro Shock Absorbers offer customers an OEM replacement shock absorber that is cost effective, yet offers improved ride quality plus the durability required for today’s 4WDs working in Australian conditions."

"The product is great in a range of situations, be it for drivers taking their vehicles off road or onto corrugated surfaces, or for mining or commercial vehicles that experience tough conditions. They fit straight in and they’re not priced as highly as some on the market, yet they offer a great ride plus great value."

Both the new Drivetech 4 x 4 Driveshaft Assemblies and the new Drivetech 4 x 4 Enduro Shock Absorbers live up to the Drivetech promise of being ‘driven by quality’.

"The Drivetech 4x4 name is one that is trusted by workshops and customers alike. We’re very proud of our reputation for consistently providing reliable, quality products to the Australian automotive aftermarket."
